How to Make a DIY Automatic Coin Sorting Machine With a Laser Cutter

I had a lot of coins, scattered haphazardly in jars, boxes, and forgotten corners of my room. It was one of those moments where you realize you've amassed quite the collection without even intending to. But instead of cashing in at the nearest coin machine, I decided to take a more hands-on approach. After all, what's the fun in relinquishing the thrill of sorting coins? Thus began my journey into the world of DIY coin sorting machines, and today, I'm excited to share my experience with you.

Why Did I Make a DIY Automatic Coin Sorting Machine?

So, how did I go about solving this coin conundrum? I decided to channel my inner inventor and utilize the power of modern technology. Armed with a laser cutter and a desire to bring order to my coin chaos, I embarked on a project that would not only make sorting coins a breeze but also provide me with an enjoyable and educational endeavor. In this blog post, I’ll walk you through the process of creating your very own coin sorting machine, step by step. From the initial concept to the final result, you’ll see how I transformed a pile of loose change into a meticulously organized treasure. So, join me on this creative journey as I unveil how I turned my coins into a fascinating DIY project. Let’s get started!

Which Laser Cutter Did I Use for This Project?

I have used the xTool P2 laser cutter for majority of the laser cutting work. And the xTool F1 also came in handy for cutting some hard to reach holes on the completed parts of the coin sorting machine.
